How to play
A scene flashes for a split second, then noise wipes it. Catch two things: what was in the center — a car or a truck, or higher up whether a digit is even or odd, under or over 5 — and, in the harder sub-games, which direction a ⭐ flashed at the edge of your vision. The flash gets shorter, the star sits further out, and clutter crowds in as you level up. Pure perception speed and how wide your useful field of view reaches.
The science
Perception speed and your useful field of view are genuinely trainable — the large ACTIVE trial (Ball et al., 2002) found lasting gains on this speed-of-processing skill in adults. You train how much you take in at a glance, not your general intelligence.
